Stratford, CT: Archpriest Theodore Shevzov reposed in the Lord - 06/13/16

On Monday, June 13, Archpriest Theodore Shevzov (cleric of St. Nicholas Church in Stratford, CT) reposed in the Lord after several years of failing health. He turned 87 years old on June 8. Born in Yugoslavia in 1929, Fr. Theodore was the son of Ivan I. Shevzov and Vera M. Pavlovskaya.

Theodore was a longtime cleric of nearby St. Nicholas Church in Stratford, though he often served in Holy Presentation Church, and was deeply loved by the faithful in both parishes.

Epistle of Metropolitan Hilarion of Eastern America & New York on Russian Church Abroad’s Day of Orthodox Youth, Celebrated on Sunday of All Saints - 06/26/16
