Simferopol: First Hierarch of Russian Church Abroad presented Icon with Relic of St. Luke of Crimea

During his pilgrimage through Crimea, the First Hierarch of the Russian Church Abroad, Metropolitan Hilarion of Eastern America & New York, was presented an icon containing a piece of the relics of Archbishop Luke (Voyno-Yasenetsky).

The gift was presented by Metropolitan Lazar of Simferopol & Crimea at Simferopol’s Holy Trinity Convent, where the relics of the Holy Hierarch Luke reside.

In turn, the ROCOR primate expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to visit the Crimean land. He noted that the accompanying group included pilgrims from the USA, Australia, and Canada, who could not "refuse to undertake a pilgrimage to the holy places of our Orthodox Russia," reports the press office of the Diocese of Simferopol & Crimea.
