On Saturday, August 19, the clergy, monastics, and parishioners of Holy Dormition Convent "Novo-Diveevo" in Nanuet, NY, celebrated the great feast of the Transfiguration of the Lord.

Celebrating the Divine Liturgy in the convent’s St. Seraphim Cathedral was cathedral dean Archpriest Alexander Fedorowski, co-served by convent clerics Archpriest Yaroslav Belikow and Protodeacon Serge Arlievsky. At the festal divine service, the parish choir sang under the direction of Matushka Maria Fedorowski. Praying in church alongside the multitude of parishioners was the convent’s sisterhood, led by Abbess Makaria.

The clergy congratulated the faithful with the feast and, in accordance with Orthodox tradition, blessed the grapes, apples, and other fruits of the harvest.
