Brooklyn, NY: Metropolitan Hilarion serves Presanctified Liturgy in "Inexhaustible Chalice" Metochion Church

On Friday, February 23, Metropolitan Hilarion of Eastern America & New York, First Hierarch of the Russian Church Abroad, visited Our Lady "The Inexhaustible Chalice" Metochion Church in Brooklyn, NY, and celebrated the Liturgy of the Presanctified Gifts. His Eminence was co-served by Archimandrite Elevferiy (Skiba; dean of the Metochion), Abbot Vladimir (Zgoba; rector of Our Lady "Unexpected Joy" Church on Staten Island, NY), Hieromonk Tikhon (Gayfudinov; abbot of Holy Protection Skete in Buena, NJ), and Protodeacon Dionysius Lvov.

Upon completion of Liturgy, the traditional canon to the Holy Great-Martyr Theodore Tyro was read, followed by the blessing of koliva in remembrance of the miraculous appearance of St. Theodore.

His Eminence spoke with the gathered clergy and faithful, thanking them for their prayers and wishing them a fruitful and salvific lenten struggle ahead.
