On Friday, April 9, clergy and a multitude of faithful from the surrounding area gathered at St. Tikhon Church in Blountville, TN to participate in the Rite of Holy Unction.

The sacrament was administered by parish rector Archpriest Matthew Williams, Archpriests Mark Tyson (rector of Prophet Elijah Mission in Pigeon Forge, TN) and Job Watts (rector of St. Nektarios Church in Lenoir City, TN), and Priests Michael Furry (rector of St. Innocent Bulgarian Church in Salem, VA), Steven Webb (rector of St. Nicholas Church in Fletcher, NC), and Elias Crowder (rector of St. Martin Church in Montgomery, AL), assisted by Deacon Michael Wells (cleric of Glorious Ascension Monastery in Resaca, GA).

Following the service, at which over 100 parishioners and visiting faithful received Holy Unction, the guests and parishioners partook of a Lenten meal in the parish hall.
