This ministry began on Mt. Athos, where Jose was given a copy of the famous "Panagia Portaitissa" Icon of the Mother of God for safekeeping, which on the night of November 24, 1982, started to miraculously exude myrrh. Jose sealed his 15 years of ministry to the Most Holy Virgin and the Church of Christ with his martyrdom, which took place 20 years ago – on the night of October 31, 1997.

Eastern American Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church Abroad http://eadiocese.org/news_171115_2.html On the 8th Anniversary of Brother Jose’s Murder http://eadiocese.org/news_171030_9.html Mon, 30 Oct 2017 00:00:00 -0400

On November 5-6, we took our 8th annual parish pilgrimage to Holy Trinity Monastery in Jordanville.
