Jordanville, NY: PaTRAM to host First Annual Young Singers’ Conference on Labor Day Weekend

The Patriarch Tikhon Russian-American Musical (PaTRAM) Institute announces its first Young Singers’ Conference. It is scheduled for Labor Day Weekend, September 2-5, in Jordanville, NY. The purpose of this annual conference is to offer young Orthodox singers and musicians, ages 15-40, an opportunity to strengthen their musical skills and deepen their connection to the Orthodox Faith.

Dr. Peter Jermihov, Katya Lukianova, Dr. Irina Riazanova, and Priest Ephraim Willmarth will lead the participants in a series of interactive classes and rehearsals that emphasize prayerful and musical singing. Archimandrite Luke (Murianka; abbot of Holy Trinity Monastery in Jordanville) has graciously allowed the participants to sing at two Hierarchical Divine Liturgies, celebrated respectively by Archbishop Gabriel of Montreal & Canada and Bishop Nicholas of Manhattan, thus giving the singers a chance to experience worship in a pious, monastery setting.

In order to ensure that all young and talented Orthodox singers receive the opportunity for growth, PaTRAM will offer a limited number of full-tuition scholarships.

For additional information, to register for the conference, and/or apply for a scholarship, please visit its site here.
