With the blessing of Their Eminences Hilarion, Metropolitan of Eastern America & New York, and Gabriel, Archbishop of Montreal & Canada, the annual Saint Herman Youth Conference will be hosted by the Nativity of the Mother of God Church in Albany, NY. The conference will commence on the evening of Tuesday, December 22nd and conclude on the morning of Saturday, December 26th. The conference is open to all youth over the age of 15. The conference will include a pilgrimage to Holy Trinity Monastery in Jordanville, NY where conference attendees will hear a lecture, see the new museum, tour the monastery grounds, and shop in the monastery bookstore. Two lectures will be delivered, one by Priest John Whiteford, who will deliver a talk entitled "Answering Atheists," and a second speaker, Dr. Nadezhda Sexton, will deliver a lecture entitled "Grant Me a Pure Vision." In addition to the lectures, there will be discussion groups, workshops, and an outdoor social activity.
The cost of the conference is $275.00 per person and includes all lodging (quad occupancy at the beautiful Desmond Hotel near the church), meals, and transportation from the hotel to the church. The deadline for registration is Friday, November 20th, and after that date the cost will increase to $325.00 with no guarantee of space remaining.
