New York City: Holy Myrrhbearers Women's Choir to Sing 22nd annual Vigil in Synodal Cathedral

On Saturday, May 11 at 6:00 PM, the Holy Myrrhbearers Women’s Choir will sing its 22nd annual All-Night Vigil on the eve of Myrrhbearers Sunday in the Synodal Cathedral of the Sign in New York City. All female and treble singers are invited to join the choir in singing at Vigil. The cathedral is located at:

75 East 93rd Street
New York, NY 10128
(corner of Park Avenue).

Although the HMWC is not currently active, its members have now kept this annual tradition alive for 21 years, and they welcome all ladies to join them as they continue to sing this joyful commemoration of the Holy Myrrh-bearing Women. Past members, in particular, are urged to consider singing, as they are familiar with the repertoire, and their leadership is much needed on each of the four voice parts!

The service is entirely in Church Slavonic. Music is available in electronic format through a Dropbox link provided upon request. Some repertoire choices may be made on the spot, in accordance with the choir’s capabilities.

Please RSVP at the event’s Facebook page here, and feel free to share this invite with singing friends, and to message with any questions.
