According to the parish website, the parish congratulated their beloved rector with the following message:
"Throughout his 50 years, he has encountered a countless number of people not only within his parish but throughout the community, surrounding area, the country, and worldwide. He has baptized and married parishioners who have become like family to him and his family. Sadly, he has also had to say a final goodbye to many beloved parishioners ‒ Memory Eternal to them. He has always led and still leads with an example of God’s love, respect, and inspiration. His dedication, hard work, and commitment to St. John’s has no end. A simple thank you is not nearly enough for everything he has done; but, thank you and may God bless you for many years. May He give you the strength for you to continue to carry out His good works.
"Sadly, due to the current COVID situation, postponement of our celebration was put in place until further notice. Please note that regardless of this setback, we love you, we wish you good health, we thank you for your never-ending commitment to us, our cathedral and community. Please keep us in your prayers as you are always in ours. Congratulations on your 50th Anniversary of Ordination, Fr. John. May God grant you Many Years!"
The editors of the diocesan website sincerely congratulate Fr. John with this momentous milestone.
