On March 20, the second Sunday of Great Lent, dedicated to the Holy Hierarch Gregory Palamas, Archbishop of Thessalonica, Archbishop Gabriel of Montreal & Canada celebrated Divine Liturgy in the Synodal Cathedral of the Sign in New York City.

Concelebrating with His Eminence were: cathedral dean Archpriest Andrei Sommer and Protodeacons Nicolas Mokhoff (cathedral cleric) and Paul Wolkow (cleric of St. Seraphim Memorial Church in Sea Cliff, NY).

The Synodal choir sang the divine services under the direction of Vadim S. Gan. A large number of parishioners honored the days of Great Lent by confessing their sins and communing of Christ’s Holy Mysteries.

Upon completion of Liturgy, Archbishop Gabriel addressed those gathered with a sermon on the feast.
