On Saturday the 20th and Sunday the 21st of August, Bishop Nicholas of Manhattan paid an archpastoral visit to St. Luke the Blessed Surgeon Church in Pompano Beach, FL.
At Divine Liturgy on Sunday, concelebrating with His Grace were Archpriest Yaroslav Lutoshkin, Priest Mikhail Mikhailenko (cleric of St. Vladimir Church in Miami, FL), Hierodeacon Panteleimon (Jigalin) and Deacon Stefan Stoyanov (diocesan clerics).
The parish choir, led by Katherine Lukianov, sang the divine services beautifully and prayerfully. Many parishioners and faithful came to Liturgy, many of whom received Christ’s Holy Mysteries.
At the conclusion of Liturgy, Bishop Nicholas led a moleben for children beginning the new school year. Celebrating the afterfeast of the Transfiguration of our Lord, His Grace also blessed grapes and fruit.
A lenten luncheon was held in the parish hall, during which the clergy and parishioners continued their interaction.
