Pompano Beach, FL: Bishop Luke officiates Divine Services in St. Luke the Blessed Surgeon Church

On June 1, the Sunday of the Fathers of the First Ecumenical Council, His Grace, Eastern American Diocesan vicar Bishop Luke of Syracuse, performed an archpastoral visit to St. Luke the Blessed Surgeon Church in Pompano Beach, FL, where he celebrated Divine Liturgy.

Concelebrating with His Grace were: Archpriest Yaroslav Lutoschin and Deacon Stefan Stoyanov (parish cleric)

The parish choir sang marvelously under the direction of Katya Lukianov. Many parishioners prayed in the church and received Christ’s Holy Mysteries.

Upon conclusion of Liturgy, Bishop Luke congratulated parishioners with the feast.

A festal luncheon was organized in the parish hall by the sisterhood, where interaction between the hierarch, clergy, and faithful continued.

This was one of the final services to be held at St. Luke Church’s Pompano Beach location. The last Liturgy will be celebrated on Sunday, June 15. After that, services will held temporarily at Paideia Classical Academy, 2370 Hammock Boulevard in Coconut Creek, while parishioners continue construction on Holy Resurrection Cathedral.
