Methuen, MA: On Cheesefare Sunday, Bishop Michael celebrates Liturgy, Rite of Forgiveness in St. Xenia Church
On February 22, Cheesefare Sunday, the commemoration of the expulsion of Adam from Paradise, His Grace, Eastern American Diocesan vicar Bishop Michael of Boston, celebrated Divine Liturgy in St. Xenia Church in Methuen, MA, co-served by parish clergy.
The parish faithful joyfully welcomed their beloved pastor, recently returned from Holy Trinity Monastery in Jordanville, NY where his hierarchal consecration had taken place the previous Sunday.
At the Sixth Hour, His Grace awarded acolyte Nathan Head the right to wear the orarion for his untiring service in the altar.
Following Liturgy, Bishop Michael officiated Vespers with the Rite of Forgiveness.
