On Thursday, July 21, Our Lady of Kazan Mission (Misión de Nuestra Sra. Madre de Dios de Kazan) in Sosúa, Dominican Republic, celebrated its patronal feast. Mission rector Archpriest Rafael Martinez Gonzalez celebrated Divine Liturgy. Despite its being a weekday, the small yet zealous community gathered to honor the Most Holy Theotokos.

Fr. Rafael asked the faithful to pray that a church building might be secured for the parish. The premises where the community currently meets are rented, and the time has come – with everyone’s help – to find a permanent place for prayer.
