On Tuesday, September 17, the wonderworking Kursk Root Icon of the Mother of God "of the Sign" was brought to St. Nicholas Diocesan Cathedral in Dushanbe, Tajikistan.

Divine Liturgy was celebrated in the diocesan cathedral by Bishop Pitirim of Zvenigorod, rector of the Moscow Theological Academy, co-served by Bishops Paul of Tashkent & Tajikistan and Nicholas of Manhattan.

On Wednesday, September 18, the head of the Central Asian Metropolitanate, Metropolitan Vikenty (Vincent) of Tashkent & Uzbekistan, celebrated Divine Liturgy in St. Nicholas Diocesan Cathedral.
