Kursk, Russia: Hierarchal Divine Services held at Kursk Root Hermitage & Zolotukhino Convent

On Thursday, September 26, Divine Liturgy was celebrated in the Church of the Icon of the Mother of God "the Life-Giving Spring" at the Kursk Root Hermitage in the presence of the wonderworking Kursk Root Icon "of the Sign." The service was led by Bishop Nicholas of Manhattan and co-served by clergy of the monastery and the Russian Church Abroad. A multitude of pilgrims prayed at Liturgy.

Singing at Liturgy was the monastic choir under the direction of Hierodeacon Rufin (Antipov).

On Saturday, September 28, Bishop Nicholas celebrated Divine Liturgy in the Zolotukhino Convent of Venerable Alexis, the Man of God. The convent was opened in 1998; its founders were the former ruling bishop of Kursk, Schema-Metropolitan Juvenal, and its first rectress, Schema-Abbess Antonia.
