In the middle week of July, His Grace Nicholas, Bishop of Manhattan, visited Holy Trinity Monastery in Jordanville, NY, where he participated in the liturgical life of the brotherhood.
On Friday, July 17, the feast of the Holy Royal Martyrs of Russia, Bishop Nicholas celebrated Divine Liturgy, joined by Bishop Luke of Syracuse, rector of the monastery, and monastery clergy.
In light of current state restrictions relating to the Coronavirus pandemic, Liturgy was served on a temporary altar at the entrance to the cathedral, with the faithful standing outside. Unfortunately, conditions did not permit the sisterhood of neighboring St. Elizabeth Skete to celebrate their patronal feast the following day.
On Sunday, July 19, the hierarchs again concelebrated an outdoor Divine Liturgy, after which a festal luncheon was served in the monastery refectory.
