On Sunday, September 27, the brotherhood of Holy Cross Monastery in Wayne, WV celebrated their patronal feast, the great feast of the Exaltation of the Precious and Life-Giving Cross of the Lord.

On Saturday evening, the All-Night Vigil, Litia, and Rite of the Exaltation of the Cross were served. The following morning saw the Lesser Blessing of Water, followed by Hours and Divine Liturgy.

Divine services were officiated in the monastery’s main church by its abbot, Archimandrite Seraphim (Voepel), co-served by monastery clergy. Praying in church were the brethren and local faithful.
