On Saturday the 7th and Sunday the 8th of November, Metropolitan Hilarion of Eastern America & New York paid an archpastoral visit to Our Lady "Joy of All Who Sorrow" Church in Cumming (Atlanta), GA. On November 6, the parish celebrated its patronal feast day of the Icon of the Mother of God "Joy of All Who Sorrow."
Serving alongside His Eminence were clerics of St. Mary of Egypt Church in Atlanta, GA: Archpriest Dimitri Oselinsky, Hieromonk Alexander (Lisnichuk), and Deacon Peter Epstein, and parish clerics: rector Priest Eugene Antonov and Deacon Anton Kouznetsov.
Before the start of Liturgy, Metropolitan Hilarion tonsured Michael Levit and Gregory Coleman readers.
Prayerfully singing the responses during the Liturgy was the parish choir. A multitude of parishioners prayed at the divine services, most of whom communed of Christ’s Holy Mysteries at Liturgy.
Upon conclusion of Liturgy, Metropolitan Hilarion greeted the clergy and faithful on the joyous feast. After the service, the sisterhood prepared a meal in the parish hall, where interaction continued between the clergy and parishioners.
