Nanuet, NY: 60th Anniversary of Archpriest Alexander Fedorowski’s Priestly Ordination celebrated in Novo-Diveevo Convent

On Thursday, April 1, diocesan hierarchs joined the clergy and parishioners of Holy Dormition Convent "Novo-Diveevo" in Nanuet, NY in gathering to honor longtime convent cleric Archpriest Alexander Fedorowski on the 60th anniversary of his ordination to the holy priesthood.

A thanksgiving moleben was served by convent clergy: Priest Artem Siss, Protodeacon Serge Arlievsky, and Deacons Nicholas Ilyin and Alexei Klar. Before the start of the moleben, the First Hierarch of the Russian Church Abroad, His Eminence Hilarion, Metropolitan of Eastern America & New York, greeted Fr. Alexander, expounding on his many obediences and accomplishments over his many years of service. He wished him God’s help and fortitude in continuing his pastoral ministry.

Upon the conclusion of the service, Bishop Nicholas of Manhattan read a Synodal Gramota congratulating Fr. Alexander on the 60th anniversary of his priestly ordination, which read, in part: "…Allow us to express our gratitude to you on this day for your selfless service and fine example that you give to people. Thanks to your untiring labors and true Russian Church traditions. We sincerely wish you unending spiritual strength and Heavenly aid…"

The hierarchs then inspected the ongoing restoration of the frescoes of St. Seraphim Cathedral, currently underway in the altar.
