New York City: Metropolitan Hilarion officiates Patronal Feast of St. Sergius Church at Synodal Headquarters

On Sunday, July 18, Metropolitan Hilarion of Eastern America & New York celebrated Divine Liturgy in honor of the patronal feast day of St. Sergius of Radonezh Church at the Headquarters of the ROCOR Synod of Bishops in New York City.

Concelebrating with the First Hierarch of the Russian Church Abroad were: English Mission rector Abbot Zosimas (Krampis), Protodeacon Nicolas Mokhoff (cleric of the Synodal Cathedral of the Sign), and Deacon Matthew Keil (cleric of Holy Annunciation Church in Flushing, NY).

The parish choir sang at the service. Virtually all of the parishioners in attendance for the feast communed of Christ’s Holy Mysteries.

Upon completion of Liturgy, Metropolitan Hilarion greeted the clergy and faithful with the feast, and wished for the parish to flourish by the prayers of Venerable Sergius, a highly revered saint who planted seeds of piety across the Russian land.

A festal luncheon was organized for the clergy and parishioners, during which their interaction continued.
