New York City: In Synodal Cathedral, Panihidas continue for Newly Reposed Metropolitan Hilarion

In the Synodal Cathedral of the Sign in New York City, the clergy continue to serve panihidas for the newly reposed primate of the Russian Church Abroad, Metropolitan Hilarion. On Tuesday evening, May 17, Metropolitan Mark of Berlin & Germany, recently arrived from Germany, officiated the panihida in the cathedral.

Serving alongside His Eminence were: Archbishop Gabriel of Montreal & Canada, acting ruling bishop of the Eastern American Diocese Bishop Nicholas of Manhattan, Archimandrite Maximos (Weimar; abbot of St. Dionysios the Areopagite Monastery in St. James, NY), Archpriest Vasily Yurina (cleric of Holy Myrrhbearers Church in Brooklyn, NY), Abbot Nicodemus (Balyasnikov; dean of St. Nicholas Patriarchal Cathedral in New York City), Archpriests Mark Burachek (dean of the Hudson Valley), Petro Kunitsky and Vasily Zelenyuk (clerics of Holy New Martyrs & Confessors of Russia Church in Brooklyn), Alexandre Antchoutine (dean of New York City & Long Island), Paul Ivanov (rector of Holy Myrrhbearers Church), Mikhail Kapchits (rector of St. Nicholas Church in Bayonne, NJ), and Ion Arama (rector of Holy Annunciation Church in Flushing, NY), Abbot Silouan (Justiniano; cleric of St. Dionysius Monastery), Priest Živojin Jakovljević (cleric of the Serbian Church in the USA), Protodeacon Eugene Kallaur (cleric of St. Seraphim of Sarov Memorial Church in Sea Cliff, NY), and Hierodeacon Panteleimon (Jigalin; diocesan cleric).

Praying at the panihida were cathedral parishioners and the faithful of New York City. Panihidas will continue until the evening of Friday, May 20.
