On Sunday, December 4 – the great feast of the Entry into the Temple of the Most Holy Theotokos – Eastern American Diocesan vicar Bishop Luke of Syracuse paid an archpastoral visit to the Church of the Entrance into the Temple of the Holy Virgin (St. Mary’s) in Jamesville-Syracuse, NY, where he celebrated Divine Liturgy in honor of the parish’s patronal feast day.
Concelebrating with His Grace at Liturgy were parish rector Archpriest Nicholas Tkatschow, Archpriest Michael Taratuchin (rector of St. John of Kronstadt Memorial Church in Utica, NY), Priest John Malcom (rector of Holy New Martyrs & Confessors of Russia Church in Norwich, CT), and Protodeacons Nicholas Drobot (cleric of the same) and Peter Markevich (cleric of Holy Trinity Monastery in Jordanville, NY).
Upon conclusion of the service, Bishop Luke greeted the rector and parishioners, congratulating them with their patronal feast. His Grace also thanked the visiting clergy for their shared prayer.
The protodeacon intoned the Polychronion for all.
After Liturgy, a festal luncheon was served in the parish hall for the archpastor, clergy, and faithful.
