For many years, Holy Apostles Church in Beltsville, MD has been working to renovate and repurpose a historic chapel donated to the parish for full church use. A major step in this process is to construct a church hall, where divine services can be held while the chapel is completed. Every year, the parish holds a Palm Sunday Matching Grant. The grant began on Clean Monday, March 18, and will close on Palm Sunday, April 28.
This year, the parish is very happy to announce $38,000 to offer in matching funds. This means that, if donations meet the match pledge, the parish can raise $76,000 toward the building of the new parish hall.
The project now has an actual dollar estimate for the whole building plan, and a schedule from the general contractor. The total cost of building the parish hall is $2,400,000. According to the contractor, it would take one year from start to finish to accomplish the building.
This is a great opportunity to double your gift! Please prayerfully consider making a generous contribution. Your help in this God-pleasing endeavor would be sincerely appreciated! Contributions to the new building fund can be made here.
