On January 26, the Sunday after the Theophany of our Lord, Archbishop Gabriel of Montreal & Canada paid an archpastoral visit to St. John the Baptist Cathedral in Washington, DC, where he celebrated Divine Liturgy.

Concelebrating with His Eminence were rector Archpriest Victor Potapov and parish clerics.

At the Sixth Hour, with the blessing of Metropolitan Nicholas, Archbishop Gabriel bestowed the right to wear the orarion on Reader Christopher Lasek.

Upon conclusion of Liturgy, Archbishop Gabriel congratulated all the communicants of Christ’s Holy Mysteries and then delivered a sermon on the feast.
