Metropolitan Hilarion's Directive regarding the 
Convocation of the 2020 Clergy Conference

When: March 23-25, 2020. Retreat officially begins on Tuesday, March 24 at 8:30 AM; Monday, March 23 is designated as a travel day – Great Compline and panihida for reposed hierarchs, clergy, and laity of ROCOR at 5:30 PM, followed by dinner.

Cost: Registration cost is $125 per person and does not include lodging accommodations.

Who can attend: Clergy (deacons and priests) of the Eastern American Diocese ROCOR, as well as the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA. All others, please contact the diocesan office at (732) 961-1917 or eadiocese@gmail.com to inquire about attending.

Airport: Those who wish to fly to New York must fly to Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) and send their flight information to eadiocese@gmail.com in order to arrange for pick-up and drop-off.

Services: All clergy will serve at the Hierarchal Presanctified Liturgy in St. Alexander Nevsky Diocesan Cathedral on Wednesday, March 25 – 8:00 AM Hours & Typica, 9:30 AM Liturgy. Clergy are asked to bring their own black vestments. The Kursk Root Icon of the Mother of God and myrrh-streaming Icon "Softener of Evil Hearts" will be present.

Speakers: The main speakers at the Lenten Retreat will be Archbishop Peter of Chicago, speaking on "The History of ROCOR," and Bishop James of Sonora, on "ROCOR: Today & the Future." The Retreat will likewise feature a roundtable discussion on pastoral questions and more.
