Brooklyn, NY: "Inexhaustible Chalice" Parish extends Invitation to Nativity Yolka

On Friday, January 16, St. John of Kronstadt Parish School at "Inexhaustible Chalice" Church will hold its Nativity Yolka. The parish’s children’s theater will perform a play entitled "The Twelve Months," based on the story of the same name by Samuil Marshak. The holiday event will also include carols and Christmas poetry.

"Verbochki" Theater was founded in early 2010 in Brooklyn under the direction of Matushka Maria Ivanova. The first play performed by its young actors during the Nativity Yolka at Holy New Martyrs & Confessors of Russia Church in Brooklyn, NY, was the tale of Buratino. Since then, the young artists have been spreading joy with their performances, participating in various children’s holiday events. The main goal of the performance’s organizers and participants is to instill in children of Russian heritage a love for Russian culture and the Russian language as an integral part of their lives beyond the boundaries of their historic homeland.

The parish school is inviting all children to the Yolka, which will take place at St. Mark School at 2602 East 19th Street, Brooklyn, NY
