With the blessing of Metropolitan Hilarion of Eastern America & New York, First Hierarch of the Russian Church Abroad, a pilgrimage trip will be held from October 31-November 14 to the holy sites of Italy and the island of Corfu. During the trip, pilgrims will visit Christian holy sites on the Greek island of Corfu (including the incorrupt relics of the Holy Hierarch Spyridon of Tremithus) and the cities of Italy: Rome, Amalfi, Bari, Salerno, Loreto, Venice, Florence, and Milan; they will be able to pray at the relics of the Holy Apostles and Orthodox saints. Pilgrims will attend Divine Liturgy at the holy relics of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker in Bari, as well as in the Orthodox Memorial Church in Florence. The travel program includes visiting museums and the many sights of Italy and Corfu.
The cost of the trip is $1,750, which includes the ferryboat between Corfu and Bari (roundtrip; $210), lodging in 3- and 4-star hotels, two meals a day, tours through Corfu, Venice, Florence, Rome, and Milan; transportation in Italy on the tour bus accompanied by clergy; and the services of Orthodox tour guides. Ticket cost does not include airfare.
Those who wish to take part in the pilgrimage trip must send in a minimum deposit of $500 and register before August 20.
