New York City: On First Anniversary of His Hierarchal Consecration, Bishop Nicholas celebrates Liturgy in Synodal Cathedral

On Monday, June 29, the feast day of the Translation of the Relics of the Holy Hierarch Theophan the Recluse, His Grace, Eastern American Diocesan vicar Bishop Nicholas of Manhattan, marked the first anniversary of his consecration to the episcopate. His Grace celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the lower St. Sergius Church of the Synodal Cathedral of the Sign in New York City, serving as a priest.

On Sunday, June 29, 2014, Archimandrite Nicholas (Olhovsky) was consecrated a bishop by the First Hierarch of the Russian Church Abroad, His Eminence, Metropolitan Hilarion. The consecration took place in Joy of All Who Sorrow Cathedral in San Francisco, CA, as part of the 20th anniversary celebrations of the glorification of the Holy Hierarch John of Shanghai & San Francisco.
