In light of recent changes in the leadership of the diocesan deaneries and the task of expanding missionary work that lies before the clergy of the Diocese, Metropolitan Hilarion of Eastern America & New York proposed a reorganization of the deaneries. At the regular session of the Diocesan Council on June 30, the proposal was reworked and confirmed by members of the Council.

A directive regarding the splitting, reorganization, and changing of leadership in the diocesan deaneries was issued on July 15, and the directory of deaneries and parishes on the diocesan website was updated.
