With the blessing of His Eminence, Metropolitan Hilarion, the Eastern American Diocese recently hosted a dear guest from Russia – Archimandrite Ambrose (Yurasov). The visitation was initiated at the invitation of Archpriest Victor Potapov (rector of St. John the Baptist Cathedral in Washington, DC), who hosted Fr. Ambrose in Washington from January 23-25.

He is also spiritual director of the Orthodox media complex "Radonezh." Father Ambrose is frequently heard on Radio Radonezh, where he delivers homilies and responds to questions from his audience.

During his visit to the Eastern American Diocese, Fr. Ambrose and his travel companion, Hierodeacon Eleazar, visited several churches in New York and New Jersey and made a special pilgrimage to Holy Trinity Monastery. On Saturday, February 1, they visited St. George’s Church in Howell, NJ where Fr. Ambrose led the All-Night Vigil and delivered a sermon. Click here to read the sermon.
