On Sunday, June 4, the great feast of the Descent of the Holy Spirit – Pentecost, the parish community of Holy Trinity Church in Mebane, NC celebrated its patronal feast day.
The divine service, which was led by parish rector Abbot Gabriel (Kvasnikov), concluded with a procession around the church. Thanks to the parish choir under the direction of Reader Andrew Semyanko, the feast was given an especially prayerful feeling.
After the service, a luncheon was held on the church grounds. People travel to Holy Trinity Church from all over; for some, it is a more than two-hour car ride. Many note the warm, home-like atmosphere within the community which, though still young, is constantly receiving new parishioners.
