On Saturday, January 6, the Eve of Christ’s Nativity, Metropolitan Hilarion of Eastern America & New York, First Hierarch of the Russian Church Abroad, led the divine services in Sts. Peter & Paul Diocesan Cathedral of the Diocese of Australia & New Zealand.
At Divine Liturgy and Vespers on Saturday morning, Nativity Vigil on Saturday evening, and on the feast of the Nativity itself on Sunday morning, His Eminence was co-served by Bishop George of Canberra and cathedral clergy.
On Saturday morning, upon completion of the Liturgy, the Polychronion was intoned for His Eminence on the occasion of his 70th birthday. The editors sincerely congratulate Metropolitan Hilarion with this momentous milestone!
