Historical Audio Recordings of Great Lent in Jerusalem to be Released on Diocesan Website

The Media Office of the Eastern American Diocese has recently undertaken a new project of digitizing several hundred hours of audio recordings from the diocesan archives. With God’s help, these audio recordings will be published in the podcast section of the website as they become available. Anyone who wishes to contribute their own recordings to the diocesan archives should contact the Media Office at mediaoffice@eadiocese.org.

The first recording that we are pleased to share with our readers is the Great Compline and the reading of the Great Canon of St. Andrew of Crete on Clean Tuesday. This recording was made on March 18, 1986 in the Holy Ascension Mount of Olives Convent in Jerusalem. Serving clergy: Archpriest Valery Lukianov (Head of the Russian Ecclesiastical Mission in Jerusalem – currently Protopresbyter) and Hieromonk Andronik (Kotliaroff).
