Coconut Creek, FL: Bishop Nicholas visits Paideia Classical Academy

On Thursday, May 23, Paideia Classical Academy in Coconut Creek, FL, received an archpastoral visit from Eastern American Diocesan vicar Bishop Nicholas of Manhattan. His Grace was greeted by the School Director, Dr. Paola Weber, along with Priest Demetrio Romeo (chaplain of the Academy and rector of St. Luke the Blessed Surgeon Church, which operates at the school).

The day started with a moleben to the Kursk Root Icon of the Mother of God in St. Luke Church, served by Bishop Nicholas. This was followed by a greeting of the teachers, students, and parents on behalf of Metropolitan Hilarion of Eastern America & New York, in which Bishop Nicholas expressed his sincere congratulations on the conclusion of another school year, and shared his enthusiasm at the school’s success and continued growth.

On Friday May 24, His Grace accompanied the students of the Academy on a field trip to "The Holy Land Experience" in Orlando, FL.

Paideia Classical Academy is growing every year. It currently offers classes to students in Pre-K to 12th grade. It is Orthodox Christian, classical, organic, and green. It has a 10-acre campus with butterfly gardens and a just-completed multi-purpose sports court. Students are blessed with the ability to have daily morning prayers in the chapel, prayers before meals, and the opportunity to attend the divine services according to the Church’s liturgical cycle.
