On Saturday the 10th and Sunday the 11th of October, the Synaxis of the Venerable Fathers of the Kiev-Caves Lavra residing in the Near Caves, Eastern American Diocesan vicar Bishop Nicholas of Manhattan officiated the divine services in Holy Trinity Monastery in Jordanville, NY.
Co-serving with Bishop Nicholas was the monastery clergy. Singing at the divine services was the seminary choir under the direction of Deacon Nicholas Kotar.
The service was held under the aegis of the wonderworking Kursk Root Icon of the Mother of God. Most of the brethren and parishioners received Christ’s Holy Mysteries.
Upon conclusion of Liturgy, Bishop Nicholas greeted the parishioners on the Lord’s Day, and addressed them with a sermon on the Gospel reading of the day.
After the service, a luncheon was held in the monastery refectory.
