In the early morning of Wednesday, March 3, Deacon Jonathan Yerkes reposed suddenly in the Lord. He was 48 years old.

Ordained to the diaconate by Metropolitan Hilarion of Eastern American & New York in 2008, Fr. Jonathon was a cleric of St. Nicholas Church in his hometown of Millville, NJ until its closing in 2013, after which he served at Holy Trinity Church in nearby Vineland and at Christ the King Western Rite Church in Tullytown, PA.

He is survived by his Matushka Elizabeth and their 10-year-old son, Michael.

The funeral will be held on Tuesday, March 9, in Holy Trinity Church in Vineland at 10:00 AM, with burial to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery of Millville.
