Seattle, WA: On Sunday of the Samaritan Woman, Bishop Nicholas celebrates Liturgy in St. Nicholas Diocesan Cathedral

On May 29-30, the Sunday of the Samaritan Woman, with the blessing of His Eminence Kyrill, Archbishop of San Francisco & Western America, Bishop Nicholas of Manhattan officiated All-Night Vigil and celebrated Divine Liturgy in St. Nicholas Diocesan Cathedral in Seattle, WA.

Serving alongside His Grace were cathedral dean Archpriest Alexei Kotar, Archpriest Michael van Opstall (rector of St. George Church in West Jordan, UT), and Priest Paul Volkoff and Protodeacon Paul Bilibin (cathedral clerics).

The divine services took place under the aegis of the Protectress of the Russian Diaspora – the wonderworking Kursk Root Icon of the Mother of God. The choir sang prayerfully under the direction of Gregory Kotar. The cathedral was filled with worshippers, many of whom received Christ’s Holy Mysteries.

Upon completion of Liturgy, His Grace congratulated the clergy and the faithful with the ongoing days of Holy Pascha, and addressed them with a sermon on the feast.
