On Sunday, August 1, the feast of the Finding of the Relics of Venerable Seraphim, Wonderworker of Sarov, Archbishop Gabriel of Montreal & Canada visited Holy Dormition Convent "Novo-Diveevo" in Nanuet, NY, and celebrated the festal Divine Liturgy in the convent’s St. Seraphim Cathedral.

Concelebrating with His Eminence were cathedral dean Archpriest Alexander Fedorowski, cathedral clerics Priests Artem Siss and Alexei Klar, Protodeacon Serge Arlievsky, and Deacon Nicholas Ilyin. The choir sang the divine services under the direction of Matushka Maria Fedorowski. Praying at Liturgy were the sisters of the convent led by Abbess Makaria, and a multitude of pilgrims. That day, many communed of Christ’s Holy Mysteries.

Upon completion of the service, the clergy and faithful held a procession to Holy Dormition Church, where a moleben was served before the special portrait-icon of St. Seraphim, painted during his lifetime.

A festal luncheon was organized for all in the church hall, during which parishioners and pilgrims had an opportunity to interact with the clergy and one another.
