On Sunday, September 19, the 13th Sunday after Pentecost, Eastern American Diocesan vicar Bishop Nicholas of Manhattan performed an archpastoral visit to Holy Trinity Church in Mebane, NC, where he celebrated Divine Liturgy, co-served by rector Hieromonk Nikon (Kashkovalov) and Deacon Nicholas Lochmatow (cleric of Holy Protection Diocesan Cathedral in Des Plaines, IL).
To the joy of the clergy and parishioners, the service was held under the aegis of the wonderworking Kursk Root Icon of the Mother of God.
Singing at the divine services was the parish choir under the direction of Reader Andrew Semyanko.
After Liturgy, the rector, on behalf of the entire parish, thanked Bishop Nicholas for his visit and presented him with a commemorative panagia with an icon of the Holy Trinity.
A festal meal was then held for all.
