New York City: Delegation from Ukrainian Orthodox Church visits Synodal Residence of ROCOR First Hierarch

On Wednesday, February 9, a delegation from the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, headed by Their Graces, Bishops Victor of Baryshevka and Dionysius of Pereyaslav-Khmelnitsky, visited the Synodal Residence of the First Hierarch of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia in New York City. They were greeted by His Grace Nicholas, Bishop of Manhattan, who showed them the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Sign, St. Sergius Chapel, and the sacred icons and relics housed therein.

Having venerated the holy things, the delegation was given a tour of the administrative center of the Russian Church Abroad, after which the hierarchs, clergy, and pilgrims met in Bishop Nicholas’ office. During their warm and friendly conversation, Bishops Victor and Dionysius and their companions shared their impressions of the parishes of the Church Abroad in San Francisco, CA, Cleveland, OH, and Pompano Beach, FL, where they had the opportunity to celebrate Divine Liturgy and spend time with the local clergy and faithful.

At the conclusion of their meeting, after presenting the guests with commemorative gifts, Bishop Nicholas asked Their Graces to relay a reverential bow to His Beatitude Onufry, Metropolitan of Kiev & All Ukraine, from the First Hierarch of the Russian Church Abroad, asking for his holy prayers and extending their best wishes for Heavenly aid in his very difficult service to the Church.
