Flushing, NY: Bishop Nicholas celebrates Liturgy in Holy Annunciation Church

On Saturday, April 9 – the feast of the Laudation of the Mother of God – Eastern American Diocesan vicar Bishop Nicholas of Manhattan paid an archpastoral visit to Holy Annunciation Church in Flushing, NY, where he celebrated Divine Liturgy. The visit was timed to coincide with the parish’s patronal feast: the Annunciation of the Most Holy Theotokos, which had taken place on Thursday, April 7.

Concelebrating with His Grace at Liturgy were parish rector Archpriest Ion Arama and Protodeacon Paul Wolkow (cleric of St. Seraphim Memorial Church in Sea Cliff, NY).

That day, many parishioners communed of Christ’s Holy Mysteries.

Upon completion of the service, Bishop Nicholas delivered a sermon on the subject of the feast and congratulated the clergy and parishioners on the occasion of their recent patronal feast day.

After the service, a group photo was taken. All then proceeded to a festal luncheon, during which interaction between the clergy and faithful continued.
