St. Martin of Tours Mission in Montgomery, AL, has seen 19 baptisms since it was established. Of the 19 baptisms, five were infants and 14 were adult converts, 11 in the past six months alone. The names of the 11 are: Michael, Sophia, Hope, Charity, Catherine, Cyprian, Leo, Emily, Maxim, Sergius, and Lydia.

Parish rector Priest Elias Crowder adds, "We also have eight catechumens we plan to baptize on Holy Pentecost and three active inquirers.

"We are in awe of what God has done here in Montgomery. We feel fortunate that God has allowed us to be His co-laborers in the bringing of others to the Holy Orthodox Faith. It is truly the grace of God that had brought these folks, nothing else. Archimandrite John (Townsend), our dean, told us when this mission was founded that we should strive to serve the services as faithfully and completely as possible. We simply try to facilitate the services and the life of the Church, but it is truly God who gives the increase! Glory to God for all things!"
