On Friday, April 15, Eastern American Diocesan vicar Bishop Nicholas of Manhattan officiated the Sacrament of Holy Unction in the Synodal Cathedral of the Sign in New York City.

Serving alongside His Grace were cathedral and local clergy: cathedral dean Archpriest Andrei Sommer, Abbot Nicodemus (Balyasnikov; dean of St. Nicholas Patriarchal Cathedral in New York City), Archpriests Vasily Zelenyuk (cleric of Holy New Martyrs & Confessors of Russia Church in Brooklyn, NY) Alexander Botschagow (rector of Holy Fathers Church in New York City) and Ion Arama (rector of Holy Annunciation Church in Flushing, NY), Abbot Zosimas (Krampis; rector of the Synodal English Mission), and Hierodeacon Panteleimon (Jigalin; diocesan cleric).

Taking part in Holy Unction were cathedral parishioners and faithful from other churches in the city.
