There is just over a week left for those who wish to be benefactors of Holy Cross Monastery in Wayne, WV to take advantage of the $200,000 matching funds being offered for the construction of the community’s new church.
To date, the monks have raised just over $150,000 toward this campaign, which means that there is still $50,000 in matching funds waiting to be claimed. Please prayerfully consider this opportunity to join in completing this beautiful house for the worship of our Lord, God, and Savior Jesus Christ.
As reported earlier, His Eminence, Metropolitan Nicholas, First Hierarch of the Russian Church Abroad, performed the Rite of the Foundation of a Church, placing holy relics into the east wall behind the altar and blessing two beautiful cornerstones.
Meanwhile, contractors have been hard at work completing the 17 massive stone arches to support the Douglas Fir timber-frame roof, which is set to be delivered to the monastery in June. May God continue to prosper the work of their hands!
